According to their press release, dated February 9th they have discovered a new analogue, PPB2, that appears in vitro to be ten times more potent than their first drug already tested in a human trial. It looks like they have a new mechanism of action that starves HIV from energy required to replicate in the host cell. If true, that would mean the virus could not mutate around the therapy.
