Peter, I have a question/complaint about the handling of NASDAQ orders on Island where a partial fill occurs. I have noticed that if I get a partial fill of a marketable order it can take several minutes before the balance of that order is represented again on Island and the market even though that balance may still be marketable. Today I placed an order to buy 5000 PAASF at 8 5/16 which was the ask at the time and for several minutes later. I got 3 partial fills of 1000, 1000 and 900 shares but then the balance of my buy order did not appear on Island or the market for several minutes by which time the market had moved up. To make matters worse the balance was not represented as the buy during this time as well. When I place an order it appears almost instantly on Island, which is very good, but it seems partial executions run into some sort of road block and sit with "Processing" for quite a long time. This is not an isolated case and it does cause your customers more partial executions and loss of transactions in active markets.
