Projected 4th quarter is $2 million. Sales for year ending Dec. 31st 1997 are $7 million.
1st quarter will be up slightly - maybe 10%.
Mgmt projections are that 1998 sales will be $15 to $18 million. Quarterly expenses are estimated at $2.7 million per quarter, so if these estimates are correct, Xecom should turn the corner this year. Bear in mind that a lot of things are changing. Xecom is expanding in areas like high speed internet, cable TV, pay-per-view, CLEC, etc. At this point I'm not sure exactly what the net impact of all this will be on our cost of operation.
Cash flow is approximately $600,000 a month and we will need just under $900,000 to meet expenses. There will be more news releases coming all through this month which will speak to a lot of your questions.
There are two immediate problems (both of which we are making good progress with, by the way): The Company needs an injection of equity so it can expand more quickly to profitable levels. The Company also needs to get control of the billing and collection by Sprint.
Remember that the current management came in during Sept. 1996. There were a lot of very big problems to clean up so we were looking backward and forward at the same time, so to speak. Anyway, I feel the strong foundation is now in place and all of our attention is now directed forward, where it ought to be.
Lastly, I must agree with you that this chat room has a lot of negative impact on Xecom. Frankly, the Company's tendency is to want to stay out of this exchange altogether. There are people who just chat for the sake of chatting, with little to say. They just make up the most titillating gossip they can and publish it.
Just to stick up for Joe Lanza, I know that he has taken a beating several times in this chat room and probably from people who don't know him. The man works very hard for the Xecom market. He is in the office six days a week, talking to brokers, investors and other business institutions. Things don't happen over night, but they do happen. Joe has decided, rightly, in my opinion, to stay out of the chat room with the odd exception.
As for you, Mr. Stocktalk Lurker, I am a director of Xecom.
