Ah, that is a very good question. After you posted about MCI I had a little discussion with my family, to see if we should try something new, but my daughter adamantly loves America on Line. It has homework help, teenage chat rooms, appealing graphics, and a buddy system which lets her know when her friends are online at the same time she is. It also has Motley Fool and a lot of online magazines to read, and stock and commodity boards that I visit sometimes as a check and balance on the ones at SI.

It seems extravagant somehow to have two ISPs. I am using this little opportunity to see if I can get used to AOL enough to drop the other one entirely. But the software is very idiosyncratic, and the experience so far is less than enjoyable for me.

Does anyone really like America on Line?
