The story continues....
the glen filled with all manner of strange creatures claiming kinship in Christ. The Old Crone glowed with the fell blessings of several cohorts and the others gathered round offering their own hatreds and fears to help her. Each was certain of the other, surely no harm could come to them, all were in the light of Christ together and spoke with the single voice that all believers acknowledge. Who was their Lord, they squabbled among themselves, killing and calling other liar and knave, each constantly crowed about their beliefs. The cleric believed in James and felt that James "Word of God" curse could not come back void, would a powerful curse along the same lines as the one James used, have to be laid on the cleric in the dusty grey robes. James his curse #reply-3711621 The failure to come back void would apply of course. It is a good thing that the cleric was under the protection of the Old Crone, his sister in Christ and that James was their true authority on the Word. The danger was of course that all would be standing in the same place, heheheh, he paused, watching a possible Christian march off, it was OK, it was one of those people who thinks that the calling down of Gods Wrath is a serious matter. All Christians of course would support James, like the cleric, knowing that Gods Wrath would fall on all who didn't believe in intermarriage and thought the problems in the world were caused by lack of segregation. James looked eagerly forward to explaining his world view with appropriate Scripture after this stranger was properly damned. Would the cleric explain to James that quadroons were in Christ, as were Chinese people and others that James might feel should be segregated.....
Thank you Henry, we gather in his name, he is here with us. |
