No, Amdahl. If he had worked at Apollo, he wouldn't have gained mainframe experience, would he have.

Also, in my post, I said I asked the former Amdahl, now HP guy, how Intel engineers were to work with. I posted what he said, which was "fine, technically." I had a suspicion there may have been a culture, or some other difference clash, but I didn't ask him.
BTW, I sensed a definite difference in culture between the "chip house" divisions of Intel and the server (Hillsborough, other Oregon) ones. I haven't dealt too much with Intel chip people directly, but there is a definite image of them in the industry as being hard working, smart, and, at the same time, tough, stern, relentless, and, well, paranoid. Comes from the boss, I guess. I have worked on joint development projects with the Oregon guys, and found them a lot more laid back, but, still good to deal with. Further from HQ anything to do with it? Maybe, but I've also found computer company cultures (the Oregon Intel divisions basically are doing computer design) and semi company cultures to be very different.
BTW, your posts make a lot of sense.
