For those who attend the mining shows, here is one that should be earmarked for early April.

Calgary, Alberta, Canada

The Seventh Calgary Mining Forum will be held at the Calgary Convention Centre on April 8 and 9, 1998.

A focus of this year's meeting will be the diamond exploration activity in Alberta and also of the N.W.T. Highlights of the Forum includes presentations by Ashton Mining, Monopros and Diavik Diamond Mines as well as the latest research by government geological surveys on the Buffalo Head Terrane and on the surficial geology of northern Alberta.

Thursday afternoon's session is hosted by Yorkton Securities and will
consist of a series of corporate presentations by many junior companies as exploring for diamonds in Alberta.

Other presentations will consist of talks on new ideas on exploring for diamonds and gold in the prairies, lead-zinc and polymetallic deposits in
the N.W.T., and environmental and technical studies relating to diamonds.

About fifty booths and exhibits will give everyone a chance to discuss the
latest ideas, rumors, discoveries and upcoming exploration programs of
mining companies.

The lunches and the hospitality hour are included in the registration fee
of $120 for both days. Everything considered, this is one of the better
mining conferences to attend.
