In the meantime, DSL will have to compete with cable (yuck) and satellite. I'm betting on satellite myself, and own some WAVO as well as DISH. Wish DISH would look closer at internet service. Cable for internet service really is the best solution, but I'm betting on the continued incompetence in the cable industry until my gret- grandchildren are grown ... and they're not even born yet. I just saw on CNNFN that the Time Warner/ RoadRunner/ ATHM deal fell through because they could not agree. And they are the cream of the crop. Now suppose you had cable internet access, and try to call your local cable company because your internet connection is bad. These are the same guys who can't keep squirrels away from their lines. :-) I think DISH is on a real roll right now.
