With jittery market sentiment on earnings for all tech companies in upcoming quarters, and Ascend's not-to-solid reputation for making the quarter numbers (as well as their rocky relationship with analysts), a penny off and this dog will be barking all the way down to the mid 20s. That's as optimistic as I can get as an investor long on this one. 1. Ascend does NOT have a reputation for missing earnings. 2. They aren't going to warn! However, if they did, that truly kill the stock for a very very long time. Management knows what the next few quarters mean...they had already announced this is going to be a good year with sequential growth. I can almost guarantee you they will meet or exceed WS expectations! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ its funny I looked at the Yahoo thread when I got home...someone has been spreading rumors LU made a hostile bid of $40...and ASND was up $8 in after hours....I had to check my sources quick....So, as far as I can see he could be in deep water?<g> He would be gone from SI in a heartbeat on that one. Sorry to see it was untrue, as far as I know. But $50 would have made it believable.... Jeff
