Hello grayhairs,

Is there anything of interest in the following scouting report? From the description can you tell what the 2-4 inch tube is?

I just got back from an early evening drive(Friday) to the Turner Valley area. What I saw follows:

The Esso Well
The lease has had all the equipment cleared off it. One interesting point is that they have gone to considerable lengths to keep people out of the lease area with vehicles. They have closed the access road to the lease with concrete barriers and they have also completely enclosed the well head with the same concrete barriers. I have not seen this type of protection commonly used at well leases and thought I would mention it as it seemed unusual.

The Berkley Well
This well currently has two 400 bbl portable tanks on site along with a service rig that seemed to be running tubing down the well bore. What I saw was sections of 2-3 inch tubing 14-20 feet in length being put into the well bore at a rate of about one section every 4 minutes. I don't claim to understand what this means but someone else may be able to put it into the proper context.

The Shell Well
This well looks as if it is ready to start a full well test at any time. The same set up as was at the Esso well has now been set up at the Shell well. They have a flare stack(~100 feet tall), a separator, two 400 bbl portable tanks and lights and on site trailers. As I said it is an exact duplicate of the equipment that was on the Esso well.
