Jerome,

Regarding Coke: lots of fizz, earnings flat...

As of today, KO now has a PE of 46 (77.5/1.67) on trailing earnings. On forward earnings (First Call) KO also has a PE of 46! That's right, no growth in year-over-year projected earnings at all for this fine frothy fellow for the entire year -- zero, zip, zilch, and we're just beginning to see downwards earnings revisions resulting from the Asian situation. How much discretionary income is there going to be in these countries for KO's excellent carbonated carmel-colored caffeinated sugar-water? The outlook is actually much worse than last July's. Maybe next year.
