lawrence,

Oops, I didn't realize you had an AOL visa.

It sound like you've fallen into the "spiderweb marketing strategy", except it's worse because AOL controls your credit card!

See Scott Adams' book "The Dilbert Future", p. 166

When customers find out that a product is terrible they try to avoid paying for it. This can be a real problem for the companies who are trying to sell terrible products. That's why smart companies who provide terrible products have found ways to force you to continue to pay for things you don't want. I call it the "spiderweb marketing strategy." Once they get your credit card number, they have you. The spiderweb technique involves making it so difficult to cancel the product or service that it's easier to just keep it."

This is a GREAT book, also check out the paragraph at the bottom of
page 167.

FWIW, AT&T Worldnet has never crashed on me.

Good luck.
