"Contracts in the pipeline"

Friend of mine called Zitel, this week. He acted like a Zitel long
in other words, an idiot. My friend said he had read the
Stewart report and wanted to know if Zitel had any y2ooo
contracts. The answer he got was "contacts are in the pipeline".
My follow up question would have been , What pipeline?, the sewer line.
