he runs bershire hathaway...and when he reports...he has to mark to market his position which is registered as trading securities and as such must report it as a loss if he bought higher than current mkt price...

its only in your mind if you think you havent loss money if the current price is below your purchase price...that doesnt mean you should sell

also he has deep pockets
