all i know is we have a ton of Proteon products where i work, and they are BULLETPROOF. the products are good, but unfortunately, old technology. (10 mb token ring). we will probably go after the 100mb stuff. if it's as good as the 10mb stuff we have, the company will survive. if not, somebody will buy them. that's the flavor of today's business world - 'invent our own great stuff, but in the meantime, acquire tried and true technology, then beat it up and make it better........'. IMHO
