Van ... I like shorting stocks and the market is looking like it may soon turn downwards. But I really have to believe that there is more upside potential to Cpq than downside and no one can call the bottom exactly. I really believe we are close ... especially if Mark's mum is in!!!. Besides ... there are some real tech dogs out there in chipmakers, networkers, and selective software companies..... and I know where I'd rather be short and long !!!!.

As for KO ... my mother-in-law ...who has a substantially richer protfolio than me, had her position in KO cut by her portfolio managers because of their exposure in Asia. It has since gained about 12 points !!!. I personally think that there are better shorts as people with that stock don't sell it easily ... its just a core holding. I think airlines are due a fall. The margin between great results and awful results is real small .. any hiccup and they are in trouble. Also .. kinda reverse logic ... but if the general market is about to head downwards and is usually headed by the transport index ... its going to be the airlines that lead the way !!!'
Good trading/investing
Regards
Stephen
