David, thanx alot. Yes, it's right I'm constantly looking vor value situations. I like to have a portfolio of interesting stocks on the side, ready to jump in when I reshuffle my portfolio the next time. My concept is not pure "value" but a little deviation from that. For me a low PSR is not enough to justify getting in. But a trendup in sales & earnings that's positive (could be a one time distortion like a bad quarter in it) plus low PSR ratios is what I'm looking for. I use implied PSR vs. industry PSR as a method of basic stock selection
Currently I have a position in some sleeper stocks: CTU, CYMI, COHR, PAUH a growth play: PCTH and some promising upstarts as well: ISON My last nice call was MPDI which I selected over SPCT & PWAV on financial ratios, sales & earnings & backlog momentum and its PSR ratio. I got in near $6.5, now it's $7.38. Their old high was $12 which I feel is feasable to reach soon.
My portfolio of interesting stocks is growing constantly (that I don't own yet but eyeing for future entry): metrology: NANO, KEI testing, fab automation & yield improvement: ADEX, ASEC, LTXX semi-cap equipment & suppliers: RFP, CEM contract electronic manufacturing: SFLX, DIIG telecom eqipment: DIGI, MCTL (very risky !), TLTN retailing: HDS, DK
thanks for Your suggestion. I like Your play ASEC, seems to be a nice mid-term play IMHO..
