I think that all the price changes of this stock under CAD 5 is due to the threat that AMF and Tenke Mining was exposed to by Gecamine.
Above CAD 5 there is the political risk in DRC because the investors find the Kabila regime in general as a new third world regime without the total control over their territory. Over CAD 10 there is still some political uncertainty in the stock price that not relates to the figures that will come out of the mining operations actually going on.

I am quite optimistic about the situation. I think that the political risk will change on the three levels at the same time. On the first level we will see a dramatical change in the 3-4 month to come: Some major deals will set the competition between the Co under fire. Everybody wants to be there before the others. Prices will rise. The Kabila regime may have some backlashes under this period that will slow down the process now and then, but they can't afford doing so in the long run and this is a short time race. And, the Tenke Mining operation is the local barometer of the investment climate in DRC. Everybody knows it and watches all the moves from the gov. That's an excellent situation. That means that the political risk at the Tenke project is far less than the others in the DRC, cet par.

About the specific move from CAD 2 to CAD 3, please read the statement from the DRC mining minister and some of the letters to this thread during that time.

Regards,
Marten
