ICON CMT CORP (ICMT) 16 1/2 +1 11/16. ICMT shares have received considerable attention over the past two sessions, as the much-anticipated initial public offering of Exodus Communications (EXDS 29 +1 3/8) help bring some attention ICMT's way. Also contributing to yesterday's 3 11/16 point surge in price was an initial "buy" rating issued by DLJ, which served as co-manager of the Internet services company's IPO. Unlike the extremely successful debut yesterday of Exodus, ICMT's public offering last month was by most measures a flop. Initially expected to come to market between $12-$14 a share, ICMT priced at only $10, and then proceeded to tumble to $8.375. In spite of the recent surge in price, the stock still lags the 93% gain-from-pricing that Exodus shares have experienced in just 1 1/2 days of trading. However, a look at the numbers clearly reveals that ICMT offers a much better value, compared to both Exodus and the overall Internet group. Pay particular attention to the last ratio, the Price/Sales comparison.

Net Loss (Trailing 12-months): ICMT= $1.13; EXDS= $13.85
Net Sales (Trailing 12-months): ICMT= $41 mln; EXDS= $12.41 mln
Year/Year Sales Growth: ICMT= 204%; EXDS= 296%
Price-To-Sales Ratio: ICMT= 7.24; EXDS= 57.45
