To all:
Coal conversion holds great promise for state.
{1/4 page story reprinted in Pottsville Republican 3/21/98 page 5}
Summary:

As explained by Jack Rich owner of major mining operations in Schuylkill county, a $300 mm facility he proposes to build in
West Mahanoy Twps. would convert 2,500 tons of anthracite waste a
day into 5,000 barrels of ultra-clean diesel fuel.

Schuylkill as the largest coal reserves of any county,sits on the equivalent of 19 billion barrels of oil.

It would create an ultraclean fuel{zero sulfur& nitrogen} helping Pa. meet new auto standards.

Once government tax credits and a state tax exemption is given
for seven years he will start the construction. I can have the plant
up and running in 2003 he says.

Here is a link to the news paper maybe someone could post the whole
article. pottsville.com or look up the Patriot- News,Harrisburg, pa.

Having a Yuengling looking out my window at all the coal waste
fields, oops barrels of oil!!
