It is misleading to make a general comment "little competition" since a company called TRIJICOM" has been producing and selling widely a variety of Tritium handgun and rifle sights for 10 to 20 years now.

A brief web search located a number of resellers of the "Trijicom" sights and no mention of TEXN or 21st Century Tech sights available!

I note that the retail price of competing sights seems to be in the $l15. range and TEXN seems to sell "wholesale" at about $35. so there may be a considerable price advantage held by Texn!

I would want to see just how well constructed the TEXN sights are and how they compare to competion in the field as well as some idea of the manufacturing capability of TEXN to lower their costs vis a vie the existing competition.

TEXN has reported that they purchase their "tritium" from outside but is this already in the crystal vials which are then inserted into the sights? I note that a trademark "Traser(R)" is used to identify as specific tritium lamp used in gun sights and for night lighting on certain watches! Is TEXN using the same tritium lamps as the competition?

I will be calling to Pat Wilson at Texn early next week to get a better idea of their production capacity and marketing plans before taking up a position in this stock. I have no reason to believe that this company is not on the up and up and ready to produce real income but if you look at "LOCK" , Saftey-loc, a manufacturer of handgun locking systems you will see what kind of manipulation can happen in this market!
