Rocky, I really didn't look at the Apples very closely. However, I did not see any Zips in the WINTEL computers. The majority of the computers had K6 chips and were selling under $1000. Even the computers selling in the $2000 range did not include a ZIP.

One of the problems with the ZIP is the pricing. I see price figures that include $149, 125 and 99. Depends on where you go to buy the drive. I think IOM needs to find better pricing points for the drives and disks. The competition is going to hurt IOM on pricing alone. To compensate for the drop in pricing, IOM needs to improve their manufacturing efficiencies and lower the associated costs. The more this story plays out, the more I'm convinced that KE isn't going to make it. Once a company goes into a "tail spin" its hell trying to recover. Negative cash flow is one indicator of entering into that "tail spin".

Anyone long in IOM had better be prepared to lose some money. The history of IOM, for the lay investor, is watch the stock sky rocket and crash. Look at a five year chart and you can see this pattern.

Sorry Rocky, I went way beyond answering your basic question.
