off topic Beachbumm,re:"10giga HDD". Have people ever thought of backing up that much stuff? Some kind of storage device for temporary housing of data is still necessary, 10 giga is beyond my comprehension. I have 12G of storage space on my computer at home. This one as a matter of fact. Want to buy a hard drive? I am not the ordinary user though. My computer is used to record multitrack digital audio. It comes in at 10Megs/minute for stereo audio right now, and when I upgrade from 16 to 24bit it will increase exponentially. Even at my current bitwidth 16 tracks of digital audio eats up about 400 Megs in 5 minutes. So it may seem like an unneeded luxury for many users, but I got a used Quantum AtlasII drive for $100 yesterday, and it made me think. What I do today, was possible 5 years ago, but I wouldn't have been able to afford it. As much as I believe in the thin client model, I will have a fat machine for many more years... maybe always. Backing up?? Well It's easy for me, but time consuming. Most sessions will fit (if compressed) on a single CD. I shudder to think if I had to back up 12G all at once... cAPSLOCK
