A flurry of tiny orders pushed down the stock. Check out the chart. This stock is being tossed around big-time. This quarter cannot be anything but big. Battlezone is selling well. Q2 has been a weekly top-5 game. Re-orders from Christmas. Pitfall 3D coming out at the end of March. We will beat the $0.30 EPS estimates. If it weren't for the insider sells at $16, I'd say the current situation smacks of market manipulation. We shall see. Management is solid. Good people with good backgrounds. Bobby Kotick once said that he couldn't get a job in ATVI management today given the high caliber people they are hiring. Bobby Kotick's a nice guy from my limited interactions with him. He is definitely a businessman though. The marketing people are not exactly morons, but I'm not sure what they are doing sometimes. You don't have to give people $15 rebates, especially if the game is a hot seller! ATVI has this thing where if you register a game online, you get a coupon on the next ATVI game....That's money straight from ATVI's bottom line. $5-10 is plenty. Why $15? That would kill anybody's net margins. I don't see other game companies doing this. People buy ATVI's games because they like the games and because they are priced well at retail. You don't have to pander to gamers and give them such an unbeatable deal that you shoot yourself in the foot at the same time!!!! Tom C.
