I'm a bit "rusty" on the details but I think that Cyrx/NSM got the
rights to develop for Slot1 as part of their litigation settlement
with Intel over some patent infringement suit that was settled some
months back. As for AMD I am not sure of the details either, I recall
reading about their technology roadmap early/mid Fall of last year but
the details are sketchy...to much data input and my brain needs to
be defragmented. There was a microprocessor forum/meeting last Fall
where the various CPU manufacturers presented their technology
roadmaps. Robert Grutza could probably answer this one.
