OK, let me explain TA starting with Bollinger Bands. They are running 2 sigma bands above and below the moving average. When the stock price touches the band on top, the stock is supposed to move down ... except half the time it moves up. When the stock price touches the band on the bottom, the stock is supposed to move up... except half the time it moves down. Except sometimes the opposite happens. Next time I will explain stochastics, which sometimes tells you when to buy or sell, and is right at least 50% of the time. Come to think of it, haven't seen many TA practicioners drive Ferraris. Mmmm... Seriously, TA might work, but I don't give it much value for tech stocks that ride violently up and down on news, hype, and belief. It might work better for oil stocks.
