>>Sigh.<< Is that a condescending sigh??

>>Well, if a $10,000 balance is "ludicrous", then how does the free ATM and free unlimited bill paying get paid for??<< By investing the money their customers have deposited in the various accounts.

>>Their monthly fee for having less than $10,000 is LESS than what Wachovia charges JUST FOR BILL PAYING.<< NTBK 1, Wachovia 0

>>Emory, what rate are you getting now<< Savings 4.6%, checking 2.02%, monthly fee $0.00.

>>how much do you spend every month to make sure your bills gets paid (envelopes, stamps, checks and time)?<< Enough to justify looking into what NTBK had to offer.

I rate banks right up there with used car sales dealerships, political organizations and the legal profession. Thus I approach these situations with a lot of skepticism. If you'll look back at my original post I made a point of including IMHO in the text. Any and all opinions and prejudices expressed are strictly MHO.
