Phil if the Proxy passes AAPL's BOD will have 6 one-year seats

Is Jobs clever ? He has a even numbered BOD situation that requiries 2/3rds agreement for most voting purposes . Then Proxy Item 4 addresses exec stock option compensation (17,000,000 shrs) in part with:

" ... such grants will be necessary to attract and retain critical executive personnel to the Company.
Mr. Jobs is currently serving as interim Chief Executive Officer of the Company. In the event that Mr. Jobs continues in this position, the Board intends to grant options, stock appreciation rights or stock purchase rights to him under the 1998 Plan.
"

He is staying as it seems Senor Jobs could get stock even if he remains as "interim" CEO , but the Proxy givies him a ace card to command a greater stock deal for accepting permanent CEO . It will take 4 votes of 6 to oust him .
