A friend of mine has a 10 million$ mail order business, and he plays the taxes by the book as it is all recorded and compuerised. His accountant told him of a trick. Deliberately over pay the state sales taxes by a few hundred dollars. He has over a million $ sales in NY. When the inspectors came he gave them the paper and they were about to
leave when the accountant 'found' the overpayment, and applied for its return. They went away and never came back. According to the accountant they get points for what they recover, and they though they would get $50,000 from him as he had $300,000 in New York sales with no tax collected and no exemption end use paper. SO they were after him , until he showed thema federal law that when you ship to a military depot for overseas shipment it is exempt from the taxes. All his sales to the military personnel were funnelled through this AF depot in NY somewhwre.
In addition he was so computerised that there was a check for each invoice and he even kept a trust account for state sales tax and put it there every day, same for fed withholdings.

The only cash he ever got was from swap meets as he selll to the amateur market on Sat and Sundays at Hamfests and you know government employees sleep in their coffin from Fri night till Mon AM, like all bloodsuckers.

Try a screwdriver shop run by a bunch of Chinese guys in a big city, and they will vaavoid sales tax if you look like a hippy, or worker, but not in a suit or check/VISA etc.
