Ron, natural gas and oil (along with coal and somewhat less with electricity)are economic substitutes. When one rises due to a shortage it tends to pull the others with it. After the OPEC embargo the price of both natural gas and electricity shot up as people attempted to switch energy sources wherever they can. Regards, Paul
