We have mountain lions a couple of miles down the road from here. The Cleveland National Forest backs up to some of the housing developments in the Santa Ana Canyon, and there's deer and deer predators. A little girl out camping got bit by one about 10 years ago. The last California Golden Bear was killed not far from here in 1912, up on Saddleback Mountain. The Golden Bears were grizzlies. Old Orange County was wilder than you would think.
