I think I'll stay on the sidelines of this one. I had one inscrutable ancestor of note that fought on both sides of the War of the Rebellion. That is, he fought for the South for a while, then got a better offer from the North. What can I say? I come from a line of money-grubbers who sold their soul to the high bidder.

My mom's side of the family tree is full of respectable businessmen. My dad's side is full of lawyers, politicians, stock brokers and other assorted criminals. My paternal grandfather was a major embarrassment to the family. He rebelled and became a minister. My dad made up for it, though. He carried on the proud family tradition and became a lawyer. I'm following in his footsteps by becoming a Y2K consultant ("The sky is falling! The sky is falling! Give me your money and I'll hold the sky up!").
