There is no longer a biological race of Jews tracing their ancestry back to Abraham, much less definable tribes among the modern "Jews".
The oeverwhelming majority of modern Jews are descended from the Khazars who were converted to Judaism during the ninth century. Even Jewish scholars estimate that the Khazars now comprise as much as 90% of the modern Jews--they are now called the Ashkenazic Jews.
My wife's family are Russian Jews descended from the Khazars. Her family are intellectuals and highly educated. When my wife and I discovered this fact, we spoke to her parents about it. He family said, of course, I've known that for a long time.
There is much history written on this subject and it is a well known historical fact.
A recent back written by a Jewish scholar by the name of Arthud Koestler called the THE THIRTEENTH TRIBE traces some historical documents that confirm the conversion of the Khazars and percentage in the modern Jewish peopulation.
The genealogies were destoyed in 70 A.D and consequently the biological entity called the Jewish nation was also destroyed.
There is simply no more "Jewish race"
A.L. Kroeber and Israel Ehrenberg, both Jews and world renouned Anthropoligical scholars study the Jewish people during the beginning of this century and confirmed that their no longer existed a Jewish race. In their studied, they pointed out that Jews have generally intermarried with the local population wherever they have lived.
Today we have black Ethiopian Jews, we Nordic Jews from Scandinavia, we have brown Arabic Jews, we have Oriental Jews, etc. etc.
There is now only one true Israel of God and that is the Christian people. Circumcision is of the heart and not of the flesh.
Its a matter of believing the Scriptures in the New Testament.
Rom. 2
28: For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the
flesh:
29: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not
in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
Gal. 3
28: There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female:
for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29: And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Phil. 3
3: For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and haveno confidence in the flesh.
4: Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more: 5: Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;
6: Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.
7: But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
