I am attacking your idea. You told me I better refer to your post about the strangle. I did. You recommended a strangle with a trading range of 18-24. Post fact you say it was a recommendation for a SHORT strangle not a LONG STRANGLE. I dont understand that recommendation. I would like an explanation as to why that makes sense because to me it doesnt. I do not understand why you would do it. Since you understand it and recommended then you should be able to explain it... just like I explained the bear credit spread...I understand it and I recommend it and I can explain it with specifics. If you cant explain it with specifics....then you shouldnt recommend it. And if you cant explain it with specifics...then you shouldnt do it You never do an option strategy without understanding it and knowing how, when, and why it will work. and very definitely understanding the risk versus reward If you cant explain it...you cant explain it.... but people on this thread shouldnt get it in their head to do a short strangle on a stock in a trading range of 18-24 until they know why it would work.
