Hi Joe...About the new CEO

When they announced they will pick a CEO after 4 to 6 month, my thinking was that they are putting the company on the block. Several interviews with Marengi indicate that they will talk about a merger or a buyout. No one mentioned this, but the run of the stock from 10 to 12 1/4 with heavy volume stopped and reversed direction immediately when a post in this thread said that Compaq and Novell are forming marketing alliance. It seems that some people thought the talks at that time was related to a merger or a buyout. If they are not in the process of selling the company, then to wait for six months or so for a new CEO is totally unacceptable.

Everybody talks about a charismatic CEO, I watched several CEO's on CNBC, and mostly they are not charismatic. Is Gates or McNealy charismatic?. I don't think so. We need a guy who can articulate the company vision clearly, get the products out on time, and transform the sales force from order takers to sales professionals.

Regards

Salaah
