Eric your grasping

I know how tough it is to be long with this stock but I once worked in syndicated marketing research.

You target your audience.

When you go to TV for the broad spectrum, it has to be a basic product for the end user such as "Intel inside" or the Win95 campaign a year ago because you are dealing with the broadest demographics.

If the VARs are not listening to Novell, then let's committ suicide now, because it would be pointless to go to the general public if our targeted market isn't listening.

Novell already knows its end users, they are direct mail recepients, they don't need to reach these people on TV. TV is expensive and frankly an act of desparation.

You use TV for people that are buying a computer for Christmas. Or it is for image. One exception would be TV in Silicon Valley area where it might burnish image.

What image do you think Novell can possibly build on TV that would be worth the tremendous expense. I say give the product development engineers a Mercedes each for getting the job done in a superior way. IT would be cheaper and far less pointless and far less stupid.
