Eve,
I have a CD-R and make CD's often. There are many problems that can (and do) occur in making CD-R's. When burning a CD, it basically renders your system unusable until the CD is completed. Even screen savers starting when you are writing will cause the burn to screw up. Myself and 3 other friends have CD-R's and it happens to us all. When ordering blanks, I always order more than I need to account for foul ups. When you do screw up, you have $7 coasters. If they use current technology as a basis for CD-RW, I would say they have a lot of work to do. Besides, the zip is here now.

Regards,
TN
