Trey, hey, how about that Dan Niles <g>

The guy upgrades MU to a long-term attractive on MU prior to earnings despite:

A) going on the record w/ a reporter several weeks back saying he expected MU to give lower guidance.

AND

B) telling clients in the upgrade note that MU could possibly fall to 30.

Of course, the folks watching Spin Central/CNBC might have appreciated a little more thorough reporting on that call other than "Robbie Stephens upgrades MU".

And then MU does manage to post a nice little downside surprise, which IMHO raises some interesting questions:

"Dan Niles, what exactly was it that would cause you to say that MU could drop to 30 concommitant with you issuing a long-term upgrade? Did you Mr. Niles get the 'guidance' you had expected?"

Good trading,

Tom
