Bruce-if you are really interested in elliott wave, as a beginner you should probably look at Prechter's various books which are referred to on his website----one strong note of caution---EW should best be looked at in log format not arithmetic. GET is arithmetic and can therefore be quite misleading in my humble opinion in that many of the targets and counts etc may well not hold up in a log based world . If you want to use GET a lot, you should probably not embark on an EW course or read books at all and instead assume that EW didn't exist so that you could start from a clean slate and learn GET alone. Otherwise, you will end up frustrated like me (girn). If you think log makes more sense, try www.prognosis.nl------ . The bottom line is that GET is a 'momentum based' program and does not really seem to care very much about elliott rules and guidelines. It is not really trying to do EW in its proper sense in my view. And it seems to work for Tom Joseph amd some others so maybe that's all that should matter.
