bmart...I agree that the trend is still down, but this stock is 33 points off its pre-split high. Shorting here is tantamount to buying it at or near its all-time high. The upside/long opportunity is far greater than the downside/short potential at this juncture. The shorts are money in the bank to the longs, as they will have to cover eventually(sorry Satyr<g>). When good news comes, and it will, the momentum players, fund managers, and long-term investors will jump in, creating the mother of all short squeezes. CPQ will achieve a new high and I have the time to wait. I still don't understand your "market-maker" discussion, but there isn't much that I have been able to understand the last couple weeks, so it's probably just me. Best Wishes, stephen |
