When I said lightly traded, I meant the options. There are many stocks out there that have 500000+ shares traded per day, average, and the options have open interest of less than 50.

There is too much volume in the stock to be manipulated (and definitely not to protect a few thousand shares on option).

There must be a hedge technique they use. I'd just like to know what it is (or they are, if multiple hedge techniques are used)

Does anybody know?

Ira
