William -- Thanks for the excellent SS7 articles. I've read and copied for future reference. Of course it led me to search CrossKeys' for systems that meet the needs mentioned and I discovered Altus family of products. (Search under SS7.) crosskeys.com <<>> I don't know how these products compare to any others in the market today. If anyone knows, it would be worth discussing either here or on the CrossKeys' thread. I do know Ascend was asked about its SS7 capabilities in a recent tech conference and Ashby answered, "An effort is under way now. No announcement at this time." It appears NN is ahead in this regard. I don't know where Cisco stands. I do know their jobs' listings include a pile of requests for SS7 expertise: cisco.com (do search under SS7) Thanks again for stimulating the discussion. Later --- Pat
