Doug - Re: " I am considering purchasing a new computer for home use. My local Micro Center is offering a K6 233 with 32MB SDRAM, 24x CD, 56k modem 5.1gb drive-cost without monitor = $809.00 plus tax. (this is a returned model that originaly sold for $899.00, and carries the same warranty)."

If you want a NEW computer, why would you consider buying a USED/RETURNED computer - the K6 you mentioned?

Next, ask yourself this - why was the K6 -233 MHz returned in the first place?

Are there any warning bells going off in your head yet?

Finally, consider this - a bargain price on an inferior piece of merchandise will permit you to own an inferior piece of merchandise cheaply.

Is this what you are after?
