This seems similar to the classic situation of a jockey holding back a thoroughbred in a race to set up the next race. I know what you mean about things not making sense and I'm sure there will be a long list of questions by the time of the annual meeting.

It's ironic that you mention the CD(CUC)/Sierra connection. I was right in the middle of that whole thing. If I recall, there was a buy at about $45 and then the stock drifted down to high $30's, when CUC announced a takeover subject to shareholder approval. Price was tied to CUC's and it immediately tanked. Sierra's stock at one point was under $20 before it started up again and with great relief, the shareholders approved the deal at around $40.
I couldn't make sense of what was happening then either, but now I can.
Things are getting a little clearer here also. The Resnick connection is disturbing to me in light of all the marketing mistakes that have occurred, and been posted, over the last year
