Why you remember it? Or why they featured them?

My brother is a year younger than I. One day we were in the basement shooting his bb gun. (I don't know why we were doing that in the basement, but we did it frequently. Once Monty, his best friend, on whom I had a crush, shot me-I thought it meant he liked me) and I looked in an old trunk and found a stack of Playboys hidden at the bottom. Now if my brother had had any brains at all, he would have assumed a stunned expression and exclaimed, "Wow! Dad's secret stash!" Because then what would I have done? Told my mother? Blackmailed my father? But poor Skip got all red and started spluttering so I knew. And he paid.
Later I checked them out alone. And the only thing I remember vividly is one letter written to a sort of sex advice column from a guy complaining that his girlfriend never used soap because she said it wasn't healthy and her odor bothered him and was she right?
Now isn't that an odd thing to remember? Out of a whole stack of Playboys?
So your Thunderball stuff is not so strange.
I did not go unpunished. Monty and Skip drilled a hole between his closet and mine and spied on me.
