All.........
I have been displeased myself by the treatment of several newcomers to this ACTION (as opposed to DISCUSSION) group. One lesson I learned a long time ago on this thread is that you will not get along with every person who posts here. That is a fact. It took me some time to learn not to get upset about every post directed my way that I didn't agree with. I will not apologize for the actions of anyone else. I will suggest that we get past it quickly and get on with the business at hand. For anyone lurking or new to this group, I have walked in your shoes. I spent 6 months lurking before deciding to spend $75 to join this thread in an active way. It was worth many times that amount in friendships gained. I can say for a fact that there are people on this thread whom I feel closer to than I do to most people I interact with "live and in person" every day. I fully intend to celebrate with them in a big way when we succeed with the effort at hand.
If you are feeling left out, insulted or mistreated in any way, my suggestion is to get right back into the game and post something immediately. Show people that you will not be intimidated from expressing your opinions or questions. I have said it before and I will say it again. This is one of the best groups of people I have ever been associated with. The anxiety we have been feeling of late has caused some unfortunate exchanges that would not have happened under normal circumstances IMO. Let's focus on the real villains in this mess and stop the internal fighting. After all, we don't want to imitate the officers and board of IMES, do we?
Oh yeah, I talked to Tom and Val. They agreed with me that we would not be wasting time if we were to email Venture Capital firms and direct them to Tom and Val. Do a web search on Venture Capital firms, visit their site, see if they invest in technology firms and drop them a short email if they do. Explain that you are a shareholder of IMES and you are looking for VC firms that provide bridge financing. Direct them to Tom and Val. After you send one email, copy that message and paste it into the body of each of your successive emails. Will it work? Hell if I know. Does it help you fight that feeling that there is nothing you can do? Absolutely. I sent approximtely 25 to 30 emails in about an hour on Saturday morning. Don't worry about contacting the same ones I did or about what you say, multiple emails to the same firms will only help.
Go IMES-SI !!!
