If you were talking about assembling a tune-up kit for your car, you would be right. But the clean room/facility standards for medical devices are much more stringent. The expense is in building the facility and in getting it approved by the various bureaucracies (over and over again.) Just the packing of meat, for example, entails endless inspections and approvals, and medical devices are even worse from what I hear. George E.
