Looking at a very basic OSI Network Layers chart -

Application - 7
Presentation - 6
Session - 5
Transport - 4
Network - 3
Datalink - 2
Physical - 1

Wouldn't the fact that a robust Netware 5.0, that is going truly native IP, allow it to be valuable additionally as a type of software-based router (or switching software for open hardware) down at the lower levels of OSI ? ToySoldier is one of the few posters lately who have actually shared technical networking expertise (thanks). Any comment/opinion from a current poster or networking lurker would be appreciated.
