Apparently, many market participants do not believe that LGWX that was trading around 11 few days before the announcement is worth much more as a part of PLAT.

On the other hand, LGWX acquisition is conditioned on PLAT's average share price staying above 22, so 22 could provide strong support - arbitrageurs that were shorting PLAT and buying LGWX will switch around.

Of course, if broader markets decline, which is quite likely, PLAT will go down in sympathy.
