An alternative way to do my accounting:
long 50k mine, cost $3750
long 1000 gmgc, cost $3844
(and from the prev post you saw that $3930
of my $7594 total holdings are not on margin*).

I could never have been an accountant! Of
course Cents did it a different way, allowing
the current value of the longs count toward
your balance, but that never made sense to me,
since it means you are counting your chickens
before they hatch--not that my method of
accounting has been better.

(* note that I don't really have anything on
margin anymore, that is just a gimmick to get
past the initial 5000 dollar starting limit).
